Nursery read ‘One Plastic Bag’
Last week in Nursery, we focussed on the lovely true story ‘One Plastic Bag’. The book talks about the women of Gambia who learned to recycle the plastic in their village into reusable products. We retold the story, with a story map, captions and key words all independently written by the children. We looked at the traditional clothing of the area and recreated this in paint to make beautiful dresses for our paper dolls and we also learned to weave using our giant wicker shapes.
What a wonderful week we had!
