Nursery learn about all things whale

Last week in Nursery we looked at the story ‘Dear Greenpeace’ by Simon James.

The children have listened to relaxing whale music and used binoculars to spot creatures living in the sea on our interactive whiteboard. They have wrote letters to Emily explaining that she really did have a whale living in her pond! They have ordered whales by size in maths, made an edible jelly and biscuit seascape for our class whale to swim around in during our baking session, written posters urging people to save the whales in literacy, learned about the migratory trails whales take around the world using the continents song and the ocean song during our knowledge and understanding of the world session and made whales out of recycled egg boxes and scraps of material.

We are very well versed in all things whale!
