Year 3/4 – Kingfisher Class

Welcome to Kingfisher Class!

We are taught by Miss Sands and supported by our classroom assistant Mrs Haynes.

Our classroom has lots of space, engaging displays that show our individual and class work, and we also have a cosy reading corner.

We love the responsibility of looking after our school guinea pigs (Carrot and Parsnip) for one day a week too.

In Kingfisher Class, we take part in daily handwriting (Kinetic Letters), guided reading, writing and maths sessions. In the afternoons, we enjoy enriching activities and wider curriculum subjects.

Every day, we put on our running shoes and head outside to our daily 15 running track to ensure that we keep fit and healthy.

Reading

Please aim to read together for 10 minutes each day and record this on the digital Go Read system.

Kingfisher Class Timetable:

Reading books – Go Read records are checked on a Friday.

Homework – set on Class Dojo on a Friday and handed in electronically or to the class teacher (depending on the task) on a Tuesday.
