Reception – Robin Class

Welcome to Robin Class!

We are taught by Mrs Hipkins.

This term, we will be focusing on helping the Reception children settle into their new classroom and routine, getting to know their new adults and friends, and exploring their environment.

In Robin Class, we enjoy daily phonics (following Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised), writing and maths sessions. In the afternoons, we enjoy enriching activities and child-initiated learning.

Every day, we put on our running shoes and head outside to our daily 15 running track to ensure that we keep fit and healthy.

 

 

 

 

We love keeping parents up to date with our many achievements by sending messages and photographs on Class Dojo.

Reading

Please aim to read together for 10 minutes each day and record this on the digital Go Read system. This can be one of our decodable stories (matched to our individual phonics level) or a shared text.

Important things to remember:

Robin Class Timetable:

Reading books – children’s decodable phonics books are changed each Friday; digital Go Read records are checked on this day.

Homework – set on Class Dojo on a Friday and handed in electronically or to the class teacher (depending on the task) on a Tuesday.
