Nursery | Activities around the story ‘Look Up!’

Last week in Nursery, the children explored the story β€˜Look Up!’ by Nathan Bryon – about a girl called Rocket who wants to watch a meteor shower. Around the theme of the book, the group created large scale art pieces and attached them to the ceiling, so they were visible when they looked up. Β The children also looked at fireworks for Bonfire Night; held a socially distanced firework event with cake fountains in our outdoor area after looking at firework safety and learned the sign language version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. They also enjoyed making rockets to play in. We have had a fabulous week looking to the stars.
