Remembrance Activities

Leading up to Remembrance Day the pupils at Lower Heath have taken part in a number of activities to mark the occasion.

This week Kingfisher class have been preparing for Remembrance Sunday. They have designed pictures to put on crosses which will go in our Remembrance garden on Monday. As you can see, they have come up with some lovely and thoughtful designs!

In Skylark class the children have spent the afternoon learning about remembrance and the importance of the poppy, they discussed why the poppy is the chosen flower for remembrance. They then spent the afternoon creating poppy crafts. They decorated wooden crosses, painted poppy pictures, coloured in poppies and wrote their name and a little thank you on a poppy.
