As part of their Art topic, Kingfisher Class have been focusing on printing! The group have spent time learning about William Morris and his method of using block printing to create a repetitive pattern. They children had great fun last Monday creating their own piece of wallpaper using block printing. First, they each carved the picture they wanted to print onto their tile using a pencil. Next, they rolled special printing ink onto their tile and finally they gently pressed the tile onto their small piece of wallpaper. It was a very messy but fun afternoon!
