Meet our Team | Mrs Cooper

 

Our meet the team continues, this time we are shining the spotlight on our wonderful Skylark TA Mrs Cooper:

“Hi, my name is Mrs Maria Cooper and I am a Teaching Assistant, currently based in Skylarks Class. However, I will also be working throughout the school with interventions for various pupils.

I trained as an NNEB nursery nurse many years ago and have worked mainly in education since 1987, predominantly supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, for over 30 years.

I have recently moved to the Whitchurch area with my husband and my two Miniature Schnauzer dogs. My children are grown up now and have moved away, but I love nothing more than family gatherings when we are all together.

I originally came from Wolverhampton but have just moved from Penkridge in Staffordshire.  My hobbies are cooking, walking my lovely dogs, yoga and art.  Infact, I make minimalist greetings cards and framed art pieces using one-line drawing, natural materials and watercolour. I also love gardening and vegetable growing, having previously had my own allotment.

I’m delighted to be joining the Lower Heath family, looking forward to taking part in the many activities our school has to offer and getting to know everyone.”
