Lower Heath Receives Updated “Safer School” Certificate
We held our ‘Safer School’ meeting recently; Ian Bartlett, Crime Prevention Officer for Shropshire Council commented: “Another year and another successful ‘Safer School’ meeting at Lower Heath CE Primary. Mrs Sadler recently held a Safer School meeting involving staff, pupils, the Police and myself representing Shropshire Council. The Safer School initiative includes reviewing any incidents/issues, ensuring essential security/safety measures are active and finally, considering any potential improvements. Part of the Safer School process includes consultation with parents/carers/pupils and during the meeting, we reviewed the parent/carer and pupils surveys. Overall the survey results were extremely good and reassuring. Since the previous meeting in 2018, Mrs Sadler reflected on a number of security/safety improvements at the school – all good progressive work. Excellent work and an updated ‘Safer School’ certificate was presented to the school. A future annual Safer School meeting is planned for Summer 2020”.
