Christian Distinctiveness in Science

Science gives us the opportunity to reflect on the awe and wonder of God’s creation. We aim to develop the knowledge and scientific skills of our children in order for them to understand, value and be inquisitive about the natural world around them. Our curriculum integrates our Christian values of love, respect, and thankfulness, as children develop their scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding in science. It helps us to appreciate and respect the wonderful creation that God has given to us.

As scientists in the making, our students learn to use subject-specific vocabulary and ask thought-provoking scientific questions to deepen their understanding. Through an enquiry-based approach, they engage in investigations that delve into the world around them. We make the curriculum relevant by utilising our school grounds and the local area as much as possible.

We recognise that Science plays a vital role in fostering emotional resilience through investigations, as it allows for trial and error while testing and exploring. We are dedicated to nurturing the aspirations of our students, aiming for them to become successful and innovative scientists who demonstrate their ability to make a positive impact on our world.
