Communications

How does the school communicate information to parents?

Email
If you are not currently connected on Class Dojo and would like to be, please contact us on 01948 840524 or email admin@low.mmat.co.uk.

Class Dojo
As you know, throughout lockdown we used Class Dojo to set and receive all of the children’s home-learning. Moving forward we will be using Class Dojo for ALL school communication. Letters will be sent on the school story (unless a paper copy is needed), weekly bulletins will be posted here, events will be announced on here, and messages will be sent this way (for things such as reminders and notifications about minor first aid). This will mean that you have everything in one place, rather than receiving letters, emails and text messages too. We will no longer send communications via email or text message.

We will also be setting homework on Class Dojo. There will be no paper planners or homework books, which regularly get forgotten or lost. Everything will be recorded on Class Dojo.

According to our records, EVERY child has a parent connected on Class Dojo. If you can’t access your account (downloading the app is the easiest way to keep up with the information shared on there), please contact us on 01948 840524 or email admin@low.mmat.co.uk urgently, as you will be missing important information. If you need assistance in connecting another parent to your child’s account, please let us know this too, and we can help.

Website
Lots of useful information is posted on the school website including letters/emails, latest news stories, exam information, event details, term dates, Parents’ Evening dates etc. Please check the website regularly for updates and information. Paper copies of all information on the site are available and will be given free of charge.

Phone/Text
In certain circumstances, we may contact you via phone/text (where a mobile number is provided)
