Lower Heath School’s Annual Colour Run
Lower Heath School is thrilled to announce the success of its annual Colour Run for the community, held recently with great enthusiasm and participation. The event raised an impressive £936, which will be split equally among Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Lower Heath School.
The funds raised will see £312 going to each of these worthy causes, supporting vital services and initiatives. The money allocated to Lower Heath School will be distributed among the classes to spend on library books of their choice, ensuring that every pupil benefits from the community’s generosity.
The Colour Run was blessed with favourable weather, making the day even more enjoyable for all attendees. The event saw a fantastic turnout, with parents, children and community members dousing runners in colourful powder-paint along the route After the run, everyone gathered for a community picnic, taking advantage of the spring sunshine.
Headteacher, Helen Reynolds, commented, “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community. The success of the Colour Run is a testament to the generosity and spirit of everyone involved. These funds will make a significant difference to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Shropshire Wildlife Trust, and our school. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed.”
Community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One parent shared, “It was wonderful to see everyone come together for such great causes. The children had a fantastic time, and it was a lovely way to spend the day as a community.”
A representative from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity added, “We are deeply appreciative of the support from Lower Heath School and its community. The funds raised will help us continue our lifesaving missions and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Lower Heath School extends its thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the event. The school looks forward to organising more such events in the future, fostering community spirit and supporting important causes.
