Christian Distinctiveness in Music

At Lower Heath, our Music curriculum embodies our Christian Distinctiveness, providing our children with the opportunity to develop their music skills.  Our School Values – Love, Respect, Fellowship, Respect and Thankfulness – guide us in our approach.

Through our Music curriculum, we believe our children are given diverse opportunities to explore various genres, learning styles and perspectives.  When learning a new instrument, we emphasise responsibility, ensuring proper care is taken of instruments while persevering to develop new skills.  We ensure that our pupils have opportunities to share their musical achievements and skills in a supportive environment.  Our daily worship enables all pupils to ‘Let their light shine’ through singing and listening to music.

Music serves as a bridge to other cultures, providing a universal language that connects us to the wider world.
