Update 03/03/21 | Return to school plans
Following the Government’s latest announcement school will be reopening on Monday 8th March 2021.
In addition to recent correspondence, please view the following video which summarises some of the key procedures for returning to school. If you have any further queries, please do get in touch with Mrs Sadler at email@example.com. Thank you for your support.
Following the Government’s announcement that all schools are closed from Monday 4th January 2021, we are currently only open for children classed as vulnerable, or if a parent/carer is identified as a critical worker. As we are now in a national lockdown, if you are able to care for your child at home then you should do so.
The definition of a critical worker or a vulnerable child can be found here.
We are able to offer a place during normal school hours (9am–3:15pm) to those that are eligible. Unfortunately, we cannot offer flexible childcare, so a consistent commitment to the place you request is required, which will support the continued learning for the children.
Our staffing levels are closely linked to the number of pupils that we have in school, so we cannot accept children who are dropped off without prior arrangement.
Any children not in school are accessing their learning online, in line with our remote education plan and statutory requirements. As outlined in our letters to you, this will take place through Class Dojo, with teaching videos and materials being uploaded here, and pupils adding completed work to their portfolios.
Each teacher has put together a short video clip, outlining (in a little more detail) how lessons will look for their class.
If you have any queries about anything provided, please contact your child’s teacher in the first instance. Following this, for any EYFS and KS1 queries, please contact Miss Williams (firstname.lastname@example.org) and for any KS2 queries, please contact Mrs Sadler (email@example.com).
We are working extremely hard to ensure we support our families and the school community during this time.
If you do not have internet access or require support to access a device for home learning or any IT support, please contact the school.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
