Empowering Young Advocates: Kingfisher Class Launches Colourful Initiative for Cancer Research

Lower Heath’s next Courageous Advocacy project was launched last week by Kingfisher Class, who were focusing on the Global Goal of Good Health and Wellbeing.

Children in Kingfisher Class have researched cancer, as several children have loved ones who have been affected by this disease. In worship, they talked about what we could all do to help this important cause e.g. shopping at Cancer Research shops; making posters to raise awareness; encourage people to lead healthy lifestyles.

The children would like to raise money to support further cancer research. Linking with Owl Class’s Cross County Run Courageous Advocacy project for a local mental health charity, Kingfisher Class have decided to take this a step further and organise a sponsored colour run! So we’ve combined the two projects and will be ending our spring term with a SUPER FUN COLOUR RUN on Friday 22nd March 2024, 2pm.

If you would like to donate to our sponsored colour run, we have set up a ‘Just Giving’ page to combine all of the children’s courageous advocacy projects, please visit: Lower Heath JustGiving we would be grateful of your support!
