Flipper the Dolphin
Mrs Gallimore-Johnson recently approached The British Ironwork Centre to see if they could collaborate with Lower Heath, and help us with our Shrewsbury Flower Show garden design.
In Gardening Club, the pupils chose to create a conceptual design linking to our recycling project. They wanted to highlight how much of an issue plastic is for our marine life and oceans. The British Ironwork Centre have very kindly allowed us to borrow ‘Flipper the Dolphin’ which has been standing proudly at their entryway. This will be our centrepiece at the show and the children will be collecting plastic bottles to fill Flipper up, to highlight the problem of harmful plastics.
We would like to say a huge thank you to The British Ironworks for assisting us with our project and we look forward to showcasing flipper at the Flower Show in August.
