Lower Heath CE Primary School is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its brand-new, state-of-the-art classrooms, ushering in a new era of excellence in education for the community.

The expansion project, made possible through the unwavering support of the Marches Academy Trust represents a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for children and young people.

Key Features of the New Classrooms:

  1. Modern Learning Environments: The new classrooms are equipped with cutting-edge technology creating an inspiring and comfortable space for both children and teachers.
  2. Sustainability: Lower Heath CE Primary School is committed to sustainability, and the new classrooms are designed with energy-efficient features.
  3. Enhanced Resources: Our children will benefit from upgraded resources to support their growth and development.
  4. Space for Creativity: The classrooms are designed to encourage creativity and collaboration, fostering a positive and dynamic learning environment.
  5. Accessibility: The new classrooms are fully accessible to all children, ensuring that every child has an equal opportunity to excel in their studies.

The grand opening ceremony took place on Friday 8th September with special thanks to Helen Morgan MP and local resident Freda Ridgeway BEM.

Headteacher, Helen Reynolds expressed excitement about the new classrooms, saying, “This is an exciting day for our Lower Heath family. Mrs Ridgeway has joined us today, as four generations of her family have attended our school. This is what we pride ourselves on at Lower Heath – our close knit community and family feel. Our new classrooms will set us up for the future, to enable us to grow our wonderful school.”

Thanks was given to Howard Prince, Operations Manager for the Marches Academy Trust and Gratton Oakes Construction who managed the project brilliantly. “The project went so smoothly from beginning to end and that is due to the management of Howard and Pete,” said Mrs Reynolds. “Nothing was too much trouble and they delivered the project on time, with limited disruption to our children’s education. The children have been excited to use their new classes this week. The oldest children of the school have been given this honour and they have felt very lucky to have this brilliant new facility”.
