Meet our Team | Mrs Jenkins
Our meet the team continues, this time we are shining the spotlight on our wonderful Nursery TA and Wraparound Lead Mrs Jenkins:
“Well, what can I say about myself?
Lower Heath has played a big part of my life. I went to the school as a child along with my younger sister and brother then later my daughter Danni and son Callum followed in my footsteps. I started working at Lower Heath 8 years ago as a lunchtime supervisor during which time I became cleaner in charge. Later I decided it was time for a change so I volunteered as a teaching assistant in nursery and reception which I absolutely loved! I did a teaching assistant course and did more volunteering to gain more experience. Last year I became Breakfast and Activity Zone leader and I love working with all the children; my family say I am a big child myself! I love crafting and seeing the children’s faces when they give their end products to their parents – especially the edible slime!!!
Lower Heath always has and always will have a special place within me. As one teacher said to me when I was cleaner, “Mrs J you are the cement to our school!”
