⛪🌟 Open Door, Open Heart Event – A Joyous Celebration of Community and Faith 🌟⛪

Schools across The Marches Academy Trust came together at St Alkmund’s Church in Whitchurch for our very first Open Door, Open Heart event – a beautiful opportunity to build positive, welcoming connections between the Church and our schools. 💛

Over two days, nearly 200 children from 11 schools – Tilstock CE Primary School, Oakmeadow CE Primary School, Grange Primary School, Lower Heath CE Primary School, Cockshutt CE Primary School, Criftins CE Primary School, Selattyn CE Primary School, Kinnerley Primary School, St Andrew’s Primary School, West Felton Primary School and Weston Lullingfields Primary School – took part in a series of inspiring activities focused on Pentecost.

Led by Reverend Chris, the Church team, and wonderful volunteers, children explored a carousel of creative and thought-provoking experiences that brought the Gospel to life through discussion, art, and reflection. 🎨🕊️

Together, they also learnt and sang a joyful song in the church – a wonderful moment of unity and celebration. 🎶

The event was filled with laughter, learning, and new friendships, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
