Meet our team | Mr Holt-Williams
“Since I qualified as a teacher in the dim and distant past (27 years ago), I have had the pleasure of teaching in a number of primary schools. I started my career in Sheringham, North Norfolk, where I met my wife, and then moved westward to be nearer to family. After a spell at St Mary’s, Shawbury, I was appointed at Lower Heath in September 2007. In this time, I have taught every year group apart from Reception and Nursery (I don’t think I’m quite ready for that challenge yet)!
Having taught here for 16 years, I have seen many changes – the school has grown significantly and our facilities continue to develop (I’m especially looking forward to seeing our brand new classrooms).
One thing, however, has absolutely stayed the same – Lower Heath remains an incredibly special place and is somewhere I love to come to work every day. I am so lucky to be able to teach in such a lovely environment with amazing children, families and supportive colleagues.
My main job is to teach Owl Class – a fantastic group of year 5 and 6 children – but I also hold several other roles including leading mathematics throughout the school. As well as teaching, I have been involved with running the drama club at Lower Heath for several years and love giving the children the opportunity to perform in front of an audience.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my wife, Kiami and my 2 boys, Sam (20) and Eliot (18). I also love to go for long walks in our beautiful countryside and enjoy cycle touring too.
It has been my privilege to have worked with so many Lower Heath children and families over the years and I look forward to continuing to do so in the future.”
